Before You Come In

What happens at my first visit?+
Your first appointment is a 60-minute intake: a comprehensive exam, X-rays, and a chance to talk through anything that's been on your mind. No procedures unless we agree together that something's urgent.
Do I need to bring anything?+
Your insurance card if you have one, and a list of any medications you're taking. If you're nervous, bring headphones — we have music or podcasts and the option to dim the operatory.
I haven't been to the dentist in years. Will I be judged?+
No. Genuinely no. We see patients who've avoided dentists for a decade or more. The exam is gentle, the conversation is judgment-free, and we'll build a plan together at your pace.
How do you handle anxiety?+
We slow down. We explain what we're doing before we do it. Headphones, weighted blankets, nitrous oxide if you'd like, and frequent check-ins are all standard. Tell us at booking and we'll make a quieter plan.
What does it cost?+
First visits are billed at standard exam + cleaning rates per the Ontario Dental Association fee guide — typically $250–$350 depending on what's needed. Most insurance plans cover this fully or with a small co-pay.
Can I bring my kids?+
Yes — and please do. Many of our patients started bringing their children years ago; some of those kids are bringing their own children now. We see all ages.
